What is this?

Dashi is a guide to your day, not a system to manage. Open it, write down what you need to do, check things off, close it. That's all there is to it. There's no right way to use it — and no wrong way, either.

Each morning your daily page is waiting: what's due today, anything that carried over from before, and your habits running quietly in the background. If you want to drop into a distraction-free focus session with a Pomodoro timer, that's there too. At the end of the week, a gentle reflection check-in helps you close things out and let go.

If you want more structure, it's there when you need it. Todos can live under projects, projects under goals — so the small stuff can connect to the bigger picture if that's useful. Or skip all that and just write down what you need to do today. Both work fine. You can also define Chains (sequences of steps for routines or multi-part tasks) and work through them one at a time.

Dashi is personal and deliberately unhurried. It won't ask for your attention or push you toward a streak. It's meant to feel like a quiet companion, not a boss.
